Mint works in a way similar to blue light, the high-energy visible light emitted by mobile phones and television screens. Many experts recommend avoiding phone usage before sleep because blue light easily passes through your eyes, signaling your brain that it’s time to wake up. Similarly, the strong flavor and scent of mint toothpaste can have a similar effect. If you struggle with sleep, consider switching to a different toothpaste flavor.
